National Museum of Qatar
National Museum of Qatar is a landmark located in Doha, Qatar, adjacent to the historic Old Palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani. It was built in 2019 and designed by the French architect Jean Nouvel, with an innovative form inspired by the desert rose, a natural crystal formation found in Qatar. The museum presents the history of the country from its geological beginnings and traditional Bedouin life to the discovery of oil and the development of the modern Qatari state, making it a key cultural and national institution.
The site is included on the UNESCO Tentative List under the official name, National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ).
