Mosque of al-Zahir Baybars, Qalyub
Mosque of al-Zahir Baybars is a historical mosque located in the city of Qalyub in the Qalyubiyya Governorate, north of Cairo, Egypt. It was built in 1272 AD by the Mamluk Sultan Al-Zahir Baybars, the fourth of the Mamluk sultans and the actual founder of the Bahri dynasty. The restoration of the mosque began in 2010, the restoration work was completed and the mosque opened in 2016.
