Madrasa El Bachia is a historical Islamic school located near the Al-Zaytuna Mosque in the old city of Tunis. It was founded in 1752 AD by Abu l-Hasan Ali I, the second bey of the Husainid Dynasty, and was dedicated to the Hanafi education. Madrasa El Bachia was renovated in the 1980s and it includes today a training center. In 1979, it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of Medina of Tunis.
