El Tarif Necropolis is an ancient necropolis located at the site of ancient Thebes in Luxor Governorate, Egypt. The site includes a small mortuary temple and tombs dating back to the late First Intermediate Period and the Second Intermediate Period, as well as tombs from the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. El-Tarif Necropolis is the oldest of West Thebes’ necropolises. The site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, as part of Ancient Thebes with its Necropolis.
