Dar Hussein
Dar Hussein is a historic palace located in the old city of Tunis. The oldest history of the palace dates from the 12th century AD, and it was the house of many rulers and princes. The palace was renovated and expanded in the 18th and 19th centuries during the period of the Husainid dynasty. Today, the palace houses the National Heritage Institute. Dar Hussein was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Medina of Tunis.
