Bahr Yussef
Bahr Yussef is a canal that connects Lake Qarun with the waters of the Nile. In the past, Bahr Yusef was a natural waterway, then it was expanded and deepened by Amenemhat III in 2300 BC, with the aim of controlling the Nile flood and regulating its level during the dry seasons, in addition to irrigating the surrounding areas.
