Al Wathba Wetland Reserve is a wetland nature reserve located southeast of the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The reserve consists of a group of water bodies, lakes and salt marshes, in addition to sand dunes.
The reserve is an important habitat for Greater flamingo, where there are up to 4000 birds during the period between autumn and spring, in addition to more than 250 different species of other birds. The reserve also includes a great diversity of aquatic life and represents a unique model of ecological coexistence.
