Sharma/Jethmun Coastal Area is a coastal area located to the east of the city of Mukalla in the Hadhramaut Governorate in Yemen. The reserve is considered one of the most important natural environments for turtle nesting, especially the rare and endangered sea turtles.
It is also considered a habitat for coral reefs, seagrass, and fish, including small ornamental fish. The reserve is characterized by its charming and picturesque natural beauty, and it is considered an attractive tourist destination, especially as it contains historical sites, caves, and hot springs.
Sharma/Jethmun Coastal Area was submitted in 2002 to the UNESCO Tentative List in Yemen.
