    Anticosti Island is a secluded island located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in the province of Quebec, Canada.
    The island’s ecosystem is characterized by dense coniferous and deciduous forests. These vast areas of green space are home to tens of thousands of white-tailed deer, which is one of the highest in the world in terms of density.
    The island is characterized by its rugged coastline, rich in limestone cliffs, caves, and many waterfalls. The surrounding waters are also characterized by diverse marine life, as they provide habitats for seals and various types of fish, as well as whales that visit from time to time.
    There are also many species of birds, including the rare peregrine falcon, which nests on the island.
    Anticosti Island was inscribed in 2018 in the UNESCO World Heritage List in Canada.
