    Yoros Castle is a Byzantine ruined castle located in Istanbul, Turkey. It is also commonly referred to as the Genoese Castle, due to Genoa's possession of it in the mid-15th century. The castle was fought over for many years by Byzantines, Genoese, and Ottomans.
    The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Trading Posts and Fortifications on Genoese Trade Routes from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea.
