Kadifekale

Kadifekale is an ancient castle located on the top in a hill in İzmir, Turkey. The first recorded defensive walls were built by Lysimachos, a successor of Alexander the Great in 306 BC. Most of the current ruins were built during the Roman period and renovated during the Byzantine and Ottoman periods.
