    Tushpa is an ancient settlement and the capital of Urartu in the 9th century BC. The ancient ruins are located just west of Van and east of Lake Van in the Van Province of Turkey.
    The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, Tushpa/Van Fortress, the Mound and the Old City of Van.
