Madrasa Amiriya is a distinguished 16th-century Islamic educational complex located in Rada, Al Bayda Governorate, Yemen. It was founded in 1504 AD by King al-Ẓāfir ʿĀmir ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, ruler of the Tahirid dynasty, after whom the madrasa is named. The complex functioned as a center for religious education and scholarship and is renowned for its refined architectural design, featuring elegant proportions, decorative stucco, and painted interiors. As one of the finest surviving examples of Tahirid architecture, the Madrasa Amiriya reflects the cultural and intellectual vitality of Yemen during the late medieval Islamic period.
