Taposiris Magna, now Abusir, is an Ancient city located in Alexandria Governorate, Egypt. It was established by King Ptolemy II Philadelphus between 280 BC and 270 BC. The site includes a necropolis and two monuments that were partly restored in the 1930s: the tower that has been used in the reconstruction of the lighthouse of Alexandria and the remains of a temple of Osiris that is also believed to be the last resting place of Cleopatra.
