Taposiris Magna
Taposiris Magna, now Abusir, is an Ancient city located in Alexandria Governorate, Egypt. It was established by King Ptolemy II Philadelphus between 280 BC and 270 BC. The site includes a necropolis and two monuments that were partly restored in the 1930s: the tower that has been used in the reconstruction of the lighthouse of Alexandria and the remains of a temple of Osiris that is also believed to be the last resting place of Cleopatra.
