Talhat Site
Talhat is a station along Darb Zubaydah (the route of caravansaries of pilgrims from Iraq to Mecca). It is located south of Kufa in the Iraqi province of Najaf. Al-Talhat Station is one of the large stations that includes many wells and water basins (pools), in addition to square-shaped buildings with rooms and four watchtowers in each corner.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, The Hajj Pilgrimage Routes: The Darb Zubaydah (Iraq).Elevation: 274 m
