Sir Bani Yas Monastery is the only pre-Islamic Christian site to be found in the UAE. It is located in Sir Bani Yas island southwest of Abu Dhabi. The riuns include a church, a monastery and a series of courtyard houses, dating to the 7th and 8th centuries AD.
