    Sanam is a modern village in Northern Sudan. The site includes the remains of an ancient town which flourished mainly in the Napatan Period. Sanam was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 as part of Gebel Barkal and the Sites of the Napatan Region.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Gebel Barkal and the Sites of the Napatan Region.
