Rossdale is a river valley and historic neighborhood located in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The site, which is now the Rossdale powerplant, is of significant archaeological and historical importance. While the power plant itself is a relic of the 20th century, representing the city's industrial past, the land it sits upon holds a much deeper history. Before the power plant, the Rossdale area was known to be an ancient gathering place for various Indigenous groups. Archaeological investigations have identified it as a site where Indigenous peoples camped, traded, and performed ceremonies for thousands of years.
