Gaspereau Lake Reservoir Site Complex
Gaspereau Lake Reservoir Site Complex, or The Gaspereau Lake Site, is an archaeological site located on the shores of Gaspereau Lake in Nova Scotia, Canada. The site's earliest history dates back to more than 10,000 years ago, and shows continuous settlement extending from 5,000 years ago until after European contact 500 years ago. Artifacts found at the site include stone grinding tools, ceramics, copper, and hearth featutures, as well as shark teeth and animal remains. The site, including the Gaspereau River area, provides historical evidence about prehistoric tool making and trade in that region.
