Ribat of Sousse

Ribat of Sousse is a fort located in the city of Sousse, Tunisia. It was initially constructed by the Aghlabid ruler Ibrahim the Great in the 8th century AD. And was restored during the rule of Ziyadullah in 821 AD. The ribat was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 as part of Medina of Sousse.
