    Red Bay Whaling Station, or Red Bay Basque Whaling Station is is a fishing village located in Labrador, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It was a significant whaling center in the 16th century. Red Bay was run by Basque seamen, a Southwestern European ethnic group, and it was an important part of the North Atlantic whaling trade, leaving behind cultural and archaeological relics. Red Bay Basque Whaling Station was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
