Rachgoun Island
Rushgoun Island is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coastal town of Rushgoun in the province of Ain Témouchent in Algeria. The island was in the past an ancient trading station for the Punic, a Phoenician group living in the western Mediterranean. Archaeological discoveries on the island date back to the 1st millennium BC. The island includes a lighthouse dating back to the period of French occupation.
