Qalaat al-Khawabi

Qalaat Al-Khawabi is an old castle located in Tartus Governorate, Syria. The castle dates back to the Abbasid period in the 10th century AD, where it was the center of Jund Hims. The castle was restored by the Byzantines in the 11th century AD and then controlled by the Ismailis, the Crusaders, the Ayyubids, and the Mamluks.
