Oued Souf

El Oued, also known as Oued Souf, is a city and the capital of El Oued Province in southeastern Algeria. It is famed for its distinctive urban landscape, where most houses are crowned with domed roofs built from traditional materials. This unique architectural style, well adapted to the desert climate by improving ventilation and thermal regulation, has earned El Oued the evocative nickname "the City of a Thousand Domes."
