    Musawwarat es-Sufra is a large Meroitic temple complex in modern Sudan. The site is dating back to the 3rd century BC. Al-Musawarat Al-Sufra was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011 as part of Archaeological Sites of the Island of Meroe.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Archaeological Sites of the Island of Meroe.

  • This is Amun Temple in Nagaa. Musawarat es'ofra is a huge space with column s and elephants' statues. Some researchers believe that it was a school others believe it was elephants training yards while others think it something to do with astronomy and monks.
