Matara
Matara is a small town and important archeological site located in the Southern Region (Debub Region) of Eritrea. It was a major city in the Dʿmt and Aksumite kingdoms. The ruins include the Adulis-Axum tunnel, Hawulti obelisk and ruins of a palace.
