Hawulti Obelisk
Hawulti Obelisk is an ancient obelisk located in Matara, Southern Region, Eritrea. The monument dates to the early Aksumite period and bears the oldest known example of the ancient Ge'ez script, which is a script used as an abugida (segmental writing system) for several languages of Eritrea and Ethiopia.
