Adulis is an ancient city and port located in the Gulf of Zula in the Northern Red Sea Region of Eritrea. Its ruins lie within the modern city of Zula. The city is dating back to the 2nd century AD during the time of the Aksumite kingdom. The ruins include several buildings and A 5th century Byzantine church.
