Madrasa Ech Chamaiya is a a historical and oldest madrasa in the old city of Tunis in Tunisia. It was founded by Abu Zakariya Yahya, the founder and first sultan of the Hafsid dynasty from 1228 to 1249 AD. The Madrasa Ech Chamaiya was restored in the mid-17th century and by the end of the 20th century. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 as part of Medina of Tunis.
