Karatepe is a late Hittite fortress and open-air museum in Osmaniye Province in southern Turkey. It is situated in the Taurus Mountains, on the right bank of the Ceyhan River. The site is contained within Karatepe-Aslantaş National Park (Karatepe-Aslantaş Open-Air Museum).
