Izraa
Izraa is a town in southern Syria. It was a Canaanite city named Zorava or Zorowa, its name appears in the Amarna letters which were exchanged between the Egyptian and Syrian rulers in 1334 BC. Ancient inscriptions left by the Romans after their occupation of the Bashan area evidence the importance of the town. The Basilica of St. George is located in the town.
