Heis or Xiis is a historic coastal town located in the Sanaag region in northen Somalia (Somaliland). It was an important center for trade and was used to export frankincense to Arabia. Excavations at the site provided pottery and Roman glassware dating back to the Roman period between the 1st and 5th centuries AD.
