Harrat Khaybar
Harrat Khaybar is a volcanic field and archaeological area located north of Medina in Al Madinah Region, Saudi Arabia. The site shows signs of early human settlement, including Neolithic communities. Researchers have found dwellings, fences, and burial structures made from volcanic stones, likely built by pastoral tribes. In Harrat Khaybar, there are also sandstone structures called "Mustatil", linked to early cattle rituals. These structures, challenging to build on uneven lava plains, often lean against volcanic vents. Additionally, pendant-shaped tower tombs or cairns dating to the third millennium BCE have been found.
