Grand Mosque of Bursa

Grand Mosque of Bursa is a historical mosque located in the city of Bursa, Turkey. It was built between 1396 and 1399 AD by order of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I. The mosque was badly damaged after the 1855 earthquake, when the roof was collapsed. It was later restored and reopened in 1889. The mosque was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014 as part of Bursa and Cumalıkızık: the Birth of the Ottoman Empire.
