Eridu
Eridu, Tell Abu Shahrain, is an archaeological site in southern Mesopotamia, Iraq. Eridu was long considered the earliest city in southern Mesopotamia and is still today argued to be one of the oldest cities in the world. The site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of The Ahwar of Southern Iraq in 2016.
