    Elbasan Castle is a castle located in the city of Elbasan, Albania. It was built by order of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II in 1466 AD as a military center to fight Skanderbeg, the Albanian nobleman and military commander who led a rebellion against the Ottoman Empire.
