Doubiye Castle
Doubiye Castle, also known as Dubieh castle or Qalaat Chaqra, is a Crusader era castle located in the village of Chaqra in Nabatieh Governorate, Lebanon. It was built in the 12th century AD and was later restored during the Ayyubid, Mamluk and Ottoman eras.
The site is one of the elements included in the UNESCO Tentative List for World Heritage designation, The castles of Mount Amel: Qalaat Al Chakif (Beaufoert castle), Qalaat Tibnin (Toron castle), Qalaat Chakra (Dubieh castle), Qalaat Deir kifa (Maron castle) and Qalaat Chama’.
