    Djamaa el Djedid is a historical mosque located in the Kasbah of Algiers in the Algerian capital, Algiers. The construction of the mosque dates back to 1660 AD, during the Ottoman rule of Algeria. The mosque is distinguished by its combination of Ottoman and Andalusian architectural styles. The Djamaa el Djedid was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 as part of Kasbah of Algiers
