Charlie Lake Cave

Charlie Lake Cave is an archaeological site located in British Columbia, Canada. Excavations in waste pit in front of the cave entrance have revealed artifacts dating back to 10,500 years, believed to be Canada's earliest indications of ritualistic activities. The site has artifacts spanning 11,000 years, featuring a fluted point (stone tool), six modified flakes, and a small bone bead. These discoveries suggest the northern movement of hunters and bison. Moreover, the discovered remains of two buried ravens represent the most ancient evidence of ritual practices in Canada.
