Aghlabid Basins

Aghlabid Basins is a historical monument located in Kairouan, Tunisia. They were built under the reign of the Aghlabids ruler Abu Ibrahim Ahmed ibn Mohamed Ibn al-Aghlab in the second half of the 9th century AD in order to supply the city with water. The Aghlabid Basins were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 as part of Kairouan.
