Al Wabra Wildlife Preserve
Al Wabra Wildlife Preserve is a natural wildlife sanctuary located near Al Shahaniyah town in central Qatar. The reserve is famous for breeding endangered species of animals including the beira antelope, golden-headed lion tamarin, dibatag, Encephalartos, Sudan cheetah and North African ostrich.
The reserve is also a breeding center for the Specks Macaw (the little blue macaw), one of the rarest species of birds in the world, which has become completely extinct in the wild.
