The Oasis of Gabes is an oasis located in the Gabès Governorate of Tunisia. It is the only coastal oasis in the Mediterranean and one of the last examples of such an oasis in the world.
The oasis of Gabes is a haven for many animals such as small mammals, reptiles, mollusks, insects, as well as trans-Saharan and migratory birds of international interest. The oasis is also characterized by its proximity to the sea, the diversity of its forests of palms and olive trees, in addition to its exceptional natural scenery.
