Traditional weaving of Al Sadu is a form of traditional weaving common among Bedouin women in both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and it is considered as an embodiment of the desert environment. Practitioners of the craft are mainly elderly Bedouin women who play a key role in passing on weaving skills to next generations.
Traditional Weaving of Al Sadu was inscribed in 2020 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia.
