Mediterranean Diet
Mediterranean diet is a set of skills, rituals, knowledge, and traditions associated with agricultural crops and harvesting, as well as fishing, animal husbandry, processing and preservation methods, cooking and eating together that form the basis of the cultural identity of Mediterranean societies. These customs and values are transmitted to the new generations, and markets also play a major role in this transmission through the daily practice of exchange, agreement, and mutual respect.
Mediterranean Diet was inscribed in 2013 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain.
