    Ushguli is a village located in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, Georgia. Many typical Svaneti defensive tower houses are found throughout the village. The Ushguli Chapel located on a hilltop near the village dates back to the 12th century AD. The village was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 as part of Upper Svaneti.
    The site is one of the elements that make up the UNESCO World Heritage site, Upper Svaneti.
