    Alaverdi Monastery is a Georgian Eastern Orthodox monastery located in the Kakheti region of Georgia. The monastery is dating back to the 6th century AD, the current cathedral was built in the 11th century AD by Kvirike III of Kakheti.
    The site is included on the UNESCO Tentative List under the official name, Alaverdi Cathedral.
