Smar Jbeil
Smar Jbeil is a village located in the North Governorate of Lebanon. It is considered one of the oldest villages in Lebanon. It has a very old castle built on a strategic hill. The origin of the castle could be Phoenician. The Roman conquered the village in 63 BC. Up till today, we can see some Roman statues in the castle as well as a Roman theater with its circular architecture.
