Sebennytos or Sebennytus, modern Samannud, was an ancient city of Lower Egypt, located on the Damietta (Sebennytic) branch of the Nile in the delta. Sebennytos was the capital of Lower Egypt's twelfth nome (the Sebennyte nome).
