Sbeitla or Sufetula is an ancient Roman city located in north-central Tunisia in Kasserine Governorate. It was founded in the middle of the 1st century AD, during the reign of the Flavian dynasty, a Roman dynasty founded by Emperor Vespasian. The city of Sbeitla contains one of the best preserved Roman forum in the world in addition to the triumphal arch, the public baths, the gate of Antoninus, the temple and the Byzantine basilicas.
