Sadd Al-Aqrab
Sadd Al-Aqrab is an old dam located near Taif in Makkah Region, Saudi Arabia. It is a 113 m long, 4 m high, and 5 m wide dam. The dam, which is built with two parallel stone walls filled with rubble. Sadd Al-Aqrab includes three low water diversion walls and a distinctive 0.8 m wide central water channel lined with flat stones. Nearby, an old town and a cistern connected to an active qanat system highlight its historical water management role.
